From a standing start with one injection moulding machine in a small industrial unit of 1,500ft² in Ilkeston, Derbyshire back in 1989, S&S Plastics has evolved into a state-of-the-art, 21,000 ft² facility at our head office in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
This purpose-built manufacturing plant is complete with hi-tech machinery at your disposal – able to economically manufacture your component – whichever industry you’re in.
More importantly, it is also home to our industry-leading talent who know how to get the best out of the world’s most advanced machines and materials.
Where steel used to be the only option, hi-tech plastics are becoming the material of choice.
Our customers – from many and various market sectors and geographical regions – use S&S Plastics for a range of disciplines in the injection moulding, prototyping, toolmaking and second operation manufacturing services. That diversity brings a rich exchange of ideas.
“Customers are always at the front and centre of everything we do here,” says Richard Munyard, general manager of S&S Plastics. “Often, customers are surprised at what can be done, affordably. Nothing’s impossible. But commercially viability and mindful of the environment are always key.”
The watchwords of S&S Plastics’ service include relentless focus on reducing cycle times, consistent quality and ruthless reliability to ensure on time, in full deliveries, this time and every time.
Since being part of Eurocell Group PLC (since July 2015), S&S Plastics’ investment in advanced technology has stepped up a gear. Not only has the company’s financial standing increased but S&S Plastics is also playing a significant role in the group’s drive to reduce its carbon footprint.
Merritt Plastics, part of Eurocell Group PLC is one of the leading plastic PVC-U recycling companies and specialises in producing high volume rigid UPVC product.
